Well, I almost ate pie tonight. I left the house at normal time to meet the sibling for the weekly cyclocross march into the darkness of Ft. Jackson. All of a sudden a heavy lady driving a land yacht decides to dart in front of me with her hi-beams on. Thanks for that ass hole... Anyhow, the ride gets better until we get about 2/3 of the way to the turn around and we hear someone yell "Hey.....stop right there". We see blue lights and a chubby guy walking through the woods with his hand on his pistola! He then notices that we're cyclists and not stealth 4 wheeler riders and eases up. May sound pretty eventless but believe me, this far surpasses the usual ride. We'll talk about it for weeks to come.
Gotta go the "she" is here with my tribe. Happy trails!

OK, I must admit. I was a little underdressed during the cyclocross march last night. I did some yard work prior to suiting up to ride so my body temp was a little elevated. Plus, it was a beautiful afternoon. Then after putting on shorts, jersey and "bringing along" a pair of armwarmers, the temp decides to dip below freezing. At least it felt like freezing. I felt as if I'd summeted Everest......wearing a speedo! Oh the burn....when my toes hit the shower.
Anyhow, it's off to Harbison tomorrow AM with my sibling. Temps are supposed to be in the 30's. Sounds like a 29er kind of morning.
