#14
Rail / Hailed out! There was considerable rain/wind and hail just moments before 6:30 tonight. A few stayed to race but I left. I only get one kitchen pass a week so I decided to go home and cash it in on Thursday. If the weather holds out I'll post something about that ride.
On to this past Saturday
6/9/07
What a nice ride today. No drama, no wind and no major RDN (Real Damn Nervous) moments to speak of. OSP is starting to develop into a roadie. He's road bike handling skills are much improved just since the first ride I did with this group a month ago.
So the ride started out quite mild with temps in the hi 60's. That didn't last! By the time 10AM rolled around it was hot as balls and we were all ready to stop and buy a drink. We didn't stop on "Redneck Hill" this time. The group chose to stop at a BP in Batesburg. I gotta tell you, the roads in western Lexington County are some of the best roads I've ever ridden and with little to no traffic. This week's ride proved to be much hillier than I had anticipated. After all, this ride was on the heels of tying on a pretty good drunk at the pool the night before.
Anyway, it's off to work on the building in the back yard and then off to another pool party with some old school chums.
